Portfolio Manager Biography
Dan McKenna is the portfolio manager at Principle Profits Asset Management, Inc. His interest in socially responsible investing dates back to his final year in college, where he completed an extensive independent study program that examined the relationship between corporate social responsibility and stock price performance. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with honors in 1984 with a B.B.A. in finance, Dan worked with a mutual fund company and two financial service agencies, earning honors as a top performer. He formed Principle Profits in 1992, to pursue his commitment to the evolving concept and practice of socially responsible investing:
Dan lives with his wife and two children in the Pioneer Valley in Western Massachusetts. He is involved in many professional, community and church activities, including:
- The Founder of the CT. River Valley Network of Business for Social Responsibility.
- A member of the Social Investment Forum.
- The Treasurer and Past President of Community Trust, Inc., a community loan fund based in Western Massachusetts.
- The Treasurer and founding Board Member of the Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter High School and the Center for Arts in Education Foundation.
- The Chair of his Church's Endowment Management Committee, as well as a Sunday School teacher.
- An elected member of his Town's School Committee.
